What is the Procedure to Get the Aadhar Card Reprinted in PVC Form?

The Aadhar authorizing body and also the unique identification authority of India (UIDAI) recently announced in its official Twitter account that the citizens of India can now request the Aadhar in the context of a PVC card. 

The individual applying for the same will have to pay a nominal fee. Any citizen who has an Aadhar card number is capable to apply for the PVC format of the Aadhar. 

If you do not have the number of yours registered in the Aadhar directory then you can submit a request for issuing a PVC card by using the non-registered number or the alternative mobile number.  

The following are the security measures integrated with the new Aadhar card.

  • Encrypted QR code that scans your fingerprint and retina
  • A unique hologram
  • A micro text which cannot be duplicated  
  • Ghost photo which will be unique or every individual
  • Date of issue of the Aadhar card 
  • The printing date

What are the steps to apply for the Aadhar PVC card?

Step 1: 

You can visit www.uidai.gov.in and then need to select the “Order Aadhar PVC card” option that will appear under the “My Aadhar” tab.

Step 2: 

Now you will be redirected to a new page where you will be given an option where you will be asked to specify the 12 digit Aadhaar number, the 16 digits virtual ID and the 28 digit enrollment ID.

Step 3: 

Now you will be asked to enter the security code on a required field and if you have not registered your mobile number in the Aadhar database then you need to click on the tick box.

Step 4: 

Now in the next step, you will have to enter your non-registered number or the alternative mobile number in order to get the OTP. 

Step 5:

Click on Send OTP option and you will receive an OTP that will be valid for about 10 minutes only on the registered mobile number or either on the number that you have submitted. 

Step 6: 

Now submit the OTP and verify it and then click on accept the terms and conditions. 

Step 7: 

Now you will be receiving the preview of your Aadhar only if your mobile number is recorded with the database of Aadhar and if not then you can’t see the same.

Step 8: 

The next step you will see is where you will be automatically redirected to the page where you will have to make the payment. You will have to click on Make payment where you can initiate the payment by using a credit card or the debit card of yours or by net banking or UPI.

Step 9: 

Once you complete the payment successfully you will receive an acknowledgement receipt or a payment receipt which you can easily download in the future.

Step 10: 

You will also receive the 28 digit service request number (SRN) on your registered mobile number via SMS by the UIDAI. In conclusion, also remember that while you apply for the PVC Aadhar card, you will have to pay Rs 50 which also includes the GST and the speed post charges. Thank you.
