How to Get Rid of Bugs in Mattress?

It is a common problem faced in the household by many of us that is the increased number of bugs in the mattress of our home.   • Wash all the bedding

Take a polybag and put the bedsheets and pillow covers in it and tightly tie a knot on the top of the bag so that no bugs can come out of the bag while you take the poly to the washing machine. Now wash all the bed sheets and the pillow covers in hot water and then dry them on a high heat setting for at least 90 minutes.

  • Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the mattress

Don’t just dust it but use a vacuum cleaner to clean the mattress. Dusting the mattress with a brush will make the bugs stick to its bristles but if you use a vacuum cleaner you will see the difference yourself. Vacuum your mattress carefully, from top to the bottom and also don’t forget the sides of it as the bugs could be hiding anywhere. After you complete vacuuming the mattress then vacuum the whole bedroom floor and do not miss any corner of the bedroom too then put the dirt of the vacuum in a trash bag and then throw the trash bag far from your house.

You can use an encasement as they are made especially in such a way that the bed bugs can’t bite through. This will help to protect your mattress and will not provide any space for your bed bug to sneak in your mattress. It will help you in many ways. Bugs can live without food for 15 to 20 days and using an encasement will cause the bugs to get no source of food supply and eventually after 10 to 20 days they will die out of hunger.

  • Spray bed bug control insecticides

If you see the presence of bed bugs increasing in your mattress then you can take the help of bed bug control by spraying them on your mattress.
