Besides that, when adults suffer from dehydration, they will have darker-colored urine, feel thirsty more often and urinate very little in a day. They may experience fatigue, muscle cramps, dry skin, fainting, confusion, dizziness, and more.

People dealing with dehydration may suffer from different types of health problems. Fatigue is one of the most common symptoms that you will find them suffering from. 

Another problem that you may find troubling you are feeling thirsty, foggy memory, and irritability.  Dehydration causes a severe complication known as a hypovolemic shock as well. This happens when the blood in the body has low volume and the blood pressure drops eventually.

It leads to a reduction of oxygen in the body. Besides that, dehydration leads to lowering your metabolism and even worse can cause kidney stones, heart injury, urinary tract infections, seizures, and more.

If you are suffering from dehydration or someone around you has been experiencing its symptoms then it is better to drink more water. The ones suffering from dehydration should never miss any chance to rehydrate. 

Try to avoid going outdoors in the heat much. It is recommended for individuals to drink liquids with more electrolytes like coconut water. If you are suffering from too much and quite often because of it then it would be better to seek consultation from your doctor.

  • How to prevent it? 

The very first step that you can take to prevent dehydration is to drink water as much as possible on a daily basis.  The intake of water should be as per your body weight, says new research.  

To know how much water you should be drinking, then go for this easy calculation. Simply multiply your weight by 67%. If you are already witnessing symptoms of dehydration then it would be better to increase the water intake.

Would drinking water just be enough? No. Besides drinking water it is important to eat fruits and vegetables that can help you to stay hydrated.  Try to avoid food items and beverages that can have a negative impact on your body like alcohol, caffeine, sodium, and more. If you do not want to get hospitalized then it is better to take precautions and prevent this problem.
